Alternative comparison · updated October 2026

An Instantly alternative
that goes past the send.

Instantly is a cold email platform. Its pricing page in October 2026 lists plans by how many emails you send a month and how many contacts you upload, and some plans bundle a database of 450M+ B2B leads. People look for an alternative when they want fewer moving parts: fewer domains to manage, fewer inboxes to set up, and something that handles the replies. Rocketship is one product. It finds buyers by name, sends from your own Gmail, follows up, answers replies, books the meeting and answers the phone. Plans start at $24.99 a month, and a phone line is $5 a month extra.

Disclosure: Rocketship publishes this page. Instantly details come from instantly.ai/pricing as read in October 2026. Their page showed some figures that did not agree with each other, so we do not quote their dollar prices here. Check their page for current numbers.

The cost math

Sending tools and customer-getting tools solve different problems. A sender gets the email out. Everything after the send is yours: reading replies, answering, booking, and answering the phone when the prospect calls. When you price a sender, add the cost of the person or the hours that cover those steps.

Here is a rough shape. Suppose you want to reach 600 people with four emails each. That is 2,400 emails. From one inbox that ramps up to 60 cold emails a day, 2,400 emails is 40 working days at the top rate. You can spread the load across more inboxes, and Rocketship supports that on Mission Control (50 inboxes), but each inbox needs its own ramp-up. A shorter, tighter list of people who actually fit is cheaper to run and easier on your reputation.

Rocketship's approach is to send from the inbox you already use, with your name on it, and to stop the sequence when someone replies, books or unsubscribes. It does not claim a warm-up network or deliverability guarantees. It keeps the volume modest and the list targeted.

On price, Frontier is $79 a month with 200 leads and 250 enrichment credits. Top-ups are $15 for 100 leads, $35 for 300, $99 for 1,000 and $399 for 5,000. If you want the line-by-line version against Instantly, see Rocketship vs Instantly.

What Instantly is built for

Instantly is a platform for sending cold email at volume across several inboxes, priced by email and contact limits. If your plan is to run many mailboxes and handle the replies with your own team, that is the shape of the product.

When Rocketship is the right choice

  • You want to send from the Gmail you already use, under your own name.
  • You would rather keep volume modest and the list targeted than manage many domains.
  • You want replies answered and meetings booked without a person watching a unibox.
  • You want one plan that also answers the phone and tracks the pipeline.
  • You want a flat published price and a 7-day free trial.
