Honest comparison · updated September 2026
Posh publishes its per-minute rate clearly, which makes it easy to see exactly what you're buying: a live receptionist, billed by the minute, on seven tiers running from $65 to $1,900 a month. The cheapest plan includes zero minutes at all — every one of them is billed at $2.30, from the first call. Even the $1,900 top tier still charges $1.90 for every minute past its 1,000-minute allowance. All of it answers a phone that already rang. None of it finds the person calling. Rocketship starts a step earlier: a plain-English description turns into a list of real buyers, a message goes out to them from your own inbox, and whatever comes back gets handled — its flat $24.99 plan only picks up the phone after that.

The cost math
Posh states its per-minute rate on the page, which makes the meter easy to verify — and easy to see that it never stops running. The entry Chïc plan has zero included minutes, so a 200-minute month there costs $65 base plus 200 × $2.30, or $525. Move up to the Luxurious plan, built for 200 minutes, and the same month costs $420 flat — a real discount for pre-committing, but still $2.10 for every one of those minutes. Even the $1,900 Exclusive tier, at 1,000 minutes, still charges $1.90 for the 1,001st.
Compare that to Rocketship's Frontier plan: $79 a month, 80 voice minutes included, roughly $0.99 a minute if you use every one — and that $79 also includes 200 leads found for you and the outbound email that reaches them. Posh's cheapest per-minute rate, at its most expensive tier, is still about double Rocketship's rate at a fraction of the spend, before you even count what else is bundled in.
Posh's per-minute rate doesn't stop at conversation, either — the pricing page counts 'completing account activities' as receptionist minutes too, so even administrative work runs the meter. None of those minutes, admin or call, ever touch the step before the phone rings. Rocketship's flat plan covers that step directly: the buyer found, the first email sent, the reply worked, before the $24.99 has anything to do with a phone at all.
A meter you can actually read
Posh's per-minute rate is on the pricing page, plan by plan, which is more transparent than most of this category. That doesn't change what it buys: a live person answering a call that already happened, priced by the minute on every single tier including the cheapest one. If your call volume is small, predictable, and you want a human voice at a rate you can compute in advance, that's a fact you can check at posh.com. It has no answer for where the caller came from.
