Getting customers
Is it safe to let AI email my prospects?
It can be, if the AI sends from your own address, to a small well-chosen list, at a sane pace, with an easy way to opt out and a stop when someone replies. The risks are real: a wrong message in your name, too much volume, or mail to people who should not get it. Set limits first, read the early sends, and keep the ability to review anything.

The real risks
Three things go wrong. The message says something false or odd in your name. The volume is too high, too fast, and your address starts landing in spam. Or the wrong people get it: someone who asked to be removed, or a person who has nothing to do with what you sell.
None of these is unique to AI. A rushed person can do all three. The difference is that software can do it faster, so limits matter more.
Controls that matter
Look for these. Sending from your own mailbox, so replies and reputation are yours. A gradual ramp for new inboxes. A daily cap. One-click unsubscribe. A rule that stops the sequence when someone replies, books or unsubscribes. And a way to see everything sent.
Rocketship has all of those. Email goes from your own Gmail or Google Workspace. Each new inbox ramps up gradually to 60 cold emails a day. One-click unsubscribe is on by default. Sequences stop when someone replies, books or unsubscribes. There is no open-tracking pixel by default.
Who is in charge
In Rocketship the AI workers send, reply and book on their own by default, and the owner can review anything. If you want to read every message first, you can turn on a show-me-first setting. Most people start there for a week, then relax it once the tone looks right.
With the ChatGPT plugin and Claude connector, writing a sequence only saves a draft. Starting a campaign is a separate step you confirm, and nothing goes past your plan or send limits.
What we do not promise
No tool can promise that every email reaches the inbox, and we do not. Deliverability depends on your domain, your list, your wording and the pace. We also do not claim to verify every address. Pick people carefully and start small.
Rules differ by country. Our page on whether cold email is legal gives general information, not legal advice.
A safe way to start
Begin with 50 named people who plausibly need what you sell. Read the first ten sends. Check replies for a week. Then raise volume slowly.
Plans start at $24.99 a month with a 7-day free trial, card required; see pricing and how to send cold email without landing in spam.

- Yes, it can. Read the first sends and use the review setting until the tone is right.
- Does the sequence stop after a reply?
- Yes. Sequences stop when someone replies, books or unsubscribes.
- Is my domain at risk?
