Getting customers
Can I run my sales from ChatGPT or Claude?
You can start sales tasks from either one: finding contacts, researching them, drafting emails and sending through a connector. A business also needs a place that keeps the pipeline, the customer record, the follow-ups, the phone and the payments. Rocketship is that system, and it works inside both ChatGPT and Claude.

What an assistant can do today
With the right connectors, ChatGPT and Claude can do real sales work. One connector can look up contacts. The assistant can research a company, write a message that fits the person, and send it through a Gmail connector. For a one-off push, say twenty emails to local property managers, that works.
If the question is whether an assistant can start the work, the answer is yes. The harder question is what happens on Thursday, and again two weeks later.
What a chat does not keep
Selling is mostly bookkeeping and timing. An assistant is built to finish a task, then wait for you to ask again. So a few things are missing unless something underneath supplies them.
There is no pipeline you come back to. There is no customer history between chats, so the next conversation starts from what you paste in. Nothing runs on day 3 or day 14 unless you ask again. Sending has no safety rails of its own: no gradual daily ramp, no daily limit per inbox, no pause when emails bounce, no unsubscribe link in the headers. Nobody answers the phone. And there is no place for a customer to pay or sign up.
None of that is a flaw in ChatGPT or Claude. It is a different job. A tool that completes tasks and a system that holds a business are not the same thing.
How Rocketship fits
Rocketship is the system underneath. It keeps one record of every customer, from first email to payment, so the person who got the email is the caller the phone answering recognizes and the deal that lands in the pipeline.
Follow-ups run on their own and stop when someone replies, books or unsubscribes. Email goes out from your own Gmail with the rails in place: a gradual daily ramp per inbox, daily limits, an automatic pause on bounces, domain setup checks, one-click unsubscribe, and skipping addresses the data provider marked dead. It answers your phone so no lead is missed, sends the quote and takes the payment, and gives customers the page where they buy.
The AI is one part of that. The sending, the follow-up schedule, the phone, the record and the payments are things Rocketship runs itself.
Use them together
You do not have to pick one. Rocketship has a plugin for ChatGPT and a connector for Claude. You keep talking to the assistant you like, and it works inside your Rocketship account: you can describe who you sell to, have it draft a sequence, ask who replied and what is in the pipeline, and start or pause a campaign when you confirm.
The assistant is the conversation, and Rocketship is the work and the record. Setup is on the ChatGPT page and the Claude page.

Related questions
- Can ChatGPT send emails for me?
- With a Gmail connector it can send a message you ask for. It does not keep a follow-up schedule or protect your sending by itself. Through the Rocketship plugin, the emails go from your own Gmail with daily limits and one-click unsubscribe.
- Does Claude keep my pipeline?
- Not between chats. With the Rocketship connector, Claude works with the pipeline held in your Rocketship account, so the record is still there next week.
- Is Rocketship an AI wrapper?
- No. Rocketship runs the sending, the follow-up schedule, the phone, the customer record and the payments itself. The AI is one part of it, not the whole product.
- Do I need both an assistant and Rocketship?
- No. Rocketship works on its own from the app. If you already like working in ChatGPT or Claude, the plugin or connector lets you give instructions there while Rocketship does the work.
Rocketship finds your buyers, emails them from your own Gmail, follows up, answers your phone and takes the payment, all on one record. Ask for it from ChatGPT or Claude, or from the app.
